The Institute for Policy Research and Social Empowerment (IPRSE) is an upcoming and progressive research-based organisation that seeks to grow into a centre of excellence in governance and development policy, practice and research. IPRSE is registered under the Trustees Incorporation Act since 2010. Its Registration number is TRC16/2010.

The over-arching focus of the work of the IPRSE is on governance and development policy research and practice in both public and corporate arenas. The Institute specializes in the analysis of democracy, effective delivery of key public services for poverty reduction, political economy analysis, public law and public policy analysis and the application of theory to practice through rigorous empirical research. At corporate level, we work in the arena of Organization Development (OD), The Institute has vast experience in organization diagnosis, strategy review and development, capacity assessment and development of capacity development strategies; project design, baseline and evaluation.

IPRSE has in recent years worked with and/or for both Public and Non-Governmental Organizations in carrying out both qualitative and quantitative research assignments for development of strategies, policies or project related issues. The institute has also entered into partnerships with the Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) and the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP), in research and project implementation. Going forward, IPRSE seeks to develop and establish stable and long lasting partnerships with organizations whose work is driven by research.
